Like many of us on year’s eve was spent in a bar. I was recovering from a partially boisterous rendition of Auld Lang Syne. I took out my phone and considered whether I should send the typical ” happy new year” text to the already overburdened mobile phone network. I looked down I saw this tweet… 
It would seem for the fifth consecutive year I have been nominated in the Best Male category in the hospital radio awards or HBA awards. The awards are a national radio competition open to all hospital radio stations in the UK. Entrants have to submit 5min of highlights from their year on hospital radio. The entries are then judged by radio industry professionals. The results will announced at the awards ceremony in Newcastle in March. What a great way to start 2015!
