Idle Talk 14 04 13 Lies

This week’s Idle Talk is all about lies. Nicola is cohost (unless I’m lying!). Lying is generally considered wrong but what if by lying you could prevent a greater evil? We examine how Kant believes we should form more rules and examine in closer detail why lying becomes problematic issue for Kantian ethics. We also examine challenges from consequentialism.
